23 Mobile Things-Thing #4

I downloaded Zite and I must say I feel a bit overwhelmed by the idea of news feeds. I seem to get caught up in the temptation to keep browsing when I should be doing other things. I do like tayloring it to my preferences but, again, doing so only gives me more to distract me.
I don't think I'll use Zite or any other RSS feed much for this fact alone. It's very nicely done though. I like the idea of them as "coffee table books."

23 Mobile Things-Thing #3

Utilities:

I downloaded Google Search on my iPad. I like the accessability to all things Google on it.

The Google Goggles feature was interesting but I don't know that I would use it much. You can take a picture of something and Google will search for the image and match up information or websites. Seems pretty limited in what it can find though.

I really get a kick out of the translate app in the apps menu. I love how easy it makes it to translate and listen to words or phrases. And see them spelled out in that language. I translated English to Japanese and it worked great!

23 Mobile Things-Thing#2

Mobile Device Tips:

I love learning new tricks on my iPad but I am not good about searching them out. Thing 2 is beneficial because it laid down exactly where to go to learn some more tips.

My favorite tip was shaking the iPad like an etch a sketch to undo typing.

I have also found a fellow Mobile Things blogger that I intend to follow through this endeavor. The Loony Librarian has been very informative and I like her sense of humor.

23 Mobile Things-Thing #1

I am happy to be participating in 23 Mobile Things. Hopefully I will finish the program this time. I only finished 11 of the 23 Things on a Stick.
